James Chris Arnie

This band is proving themselves to be a formidable act and word is traveling from coast to coast. HIGHROLLER got it's start when James Mauri met Chris Tatalias at a music store. James got Chris' attention with a cd of songs he'd written. before long they were writing and jamming together. they honed a blend of blues rock infused folk with James' wild and colorful vocals and songwriting style. together, Chris and James made the songs stand up in any setting. finally, after a lot of gigging with various line ups, Chris and James met Arnie Cuozzo, a well known area drummer. through his endless connections, Arnie was able to get the band gigs at better venues, like Toad's Place in New Haven and make the band cool stickers and shirts at the print shop where he worked. all of the members had relationships they had built over the years, things that they brought to the table. prior to any of this James had caught the ear of Grammy Award Winning Producer, Ray Bardani. 'I saw a picture of him in a magazine, and then, like the next day I saw him in a mini mart. I had some crap cd I made him take. from then on, we'd meet for coffee and talk about what I wanted to do. then he brought Chris and I to Electric Lady to mix some stuff we'd recorded at my house.' in Ray they found the 'fifth member'. eventually they would all head into MSR studios in NYC to record the bands first EP. in 12 hours they wailed through some of their best material. 'we just did what we do on stage and Ray just captured it so brilliantly. so what you get is this big, open, raw, organic mass of music coming at you like two 18 wheelers racing...' the band's forthcoming EP is due the fall of 2010
